Kumbana Marimba is a 5 piece percussion group, with often guest appearances. Playing Zimbabwean music, with a modern take- we are a professionals at entertaining live audiences with our captivating instruments. Created in 2009 by two sisters, the band has since grown into a travelling and preforming group that teaches audiences about the traditional stories that connect our music, while also making them get up and dance. Based on Central Vancouver Island, BC- we are excited to celebrate 2018 with our 10th anniversary of performing.
Past preformances have included (but not limited to) Rock The Peach, The International Children's Festival Vancouver, Harmony Art Music Festival, The Kulth Music Festival, Sunshine Music Festival, Inglewood Sunfest and The Squamish Valley Music Festival.
